FAQ

Questions? Good.

Here are the questions I hear most from small business owners, nonprofits, and founders. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Content Strategy

What is content strategy, and why do I need it? +

Content strategy is the plan behind everything you publish — it defines what you're creating, why you're creating it, who it's for, and how it connects to your business goals. Without a strategy, you're posting and hoping. With one, every piece of content has a purpose. Most businesses that aren't seeing results from their content don't have a bad content problem — they have a strategy problem.

How is content strategy different from a content calendar? +

A content calendar is a schedule. A content strategy is the reason behind the schedule. Your calendar tells you when to post; your strategy tells you what to post, why, and how it ladders up to a business goal. A calendar without a strategy is just noise on a spreadsheet.

How long does it take to build a content strategy? +

It depends on the complexity of your business and goals, but most content strategy engagements take 2–4 weeks from discovery to delivery. That includes an audit of what you're currently doing, audience research, messaging work, platform strategy, and editorial planning.

Can I use a content strategy if I'm just one person? +

Absolutely — in fact, a clear strategy is even more important when you're a solo operator, because your time is limited. A good strategy helps you focus on what actually moves the needle instead of trying to do everything.

Social Media

Which social media platforms should my business be on? +

The honest answer: it depends on where your audience spends time and what type of content you can realistically create consistently. More platforms is not better — being strategic on two or three platforms will always outperform a scattered presence across six. That's one of the first things we figure out together.

How often should I post on social media? +

Consistency matters more than frequency. It's better to post three times a week with purpose than seven times a week with filler. The right cadence depends on your audience, your platforms, and your capacity — and it's something we build into your strategy.

I'm posting consistently but not seeing results. Why? +

This is the most common situation I work with. Usually it comes down to one of a few things: the content isn't clearly connected to a business goal, the audience targeting is off, the messaging isn't resonating, or there's no clear call to action. A strategy audit can pinpoint exactly where the disconnect is.

Do you manage social media accounts directly? +

Yes. Social media management is one of our core services. I handle content creation, scheduling, community engagement, and monthly reporting — all built on a strategy that's designed for your specific audience and goals.

AI & Tools

Should my business be using AI for content? +

AI tools can save significant time on content creation, research, and workflow — but only when they're used strategically. The businesses getting the most value from AI aren't using it to replace their voice; they're using it to amplify what they're already doing well. I help businesses figure out where AI fits (and where it doesn't).

I've tried AI tools and the content feels generic. What am I doing wrong? +

This is a very common experience. The output quality of AI tools is almost entirely dependent on the quality of the input — your prompts, your brand voice guidelines, and how you structure your requests. Part of what I do in AI strategy work is building the frameworks and prompts that make AI output actually sound like you.

What AI tools do you work with? +

I work with the leading tools in content and marketing AI — including ChatGPT, Claude, and others — as well as platform-specific AI features and workflow automation tools. More importantly, I help you figure out which tools are worth your time given your specific business needs.

Working with More In Media

What does the free strategy consult include? +

It's a 20-minute call where we talk about your business, your content goals, and what's not working right now. I'll ask questions, you'll share where you are, and by the end of the call we'll both have a clearer picture of whether and how we can work together. There's no pitch and no pressure.

Who is a good fit for working with More In Media? +

My best clients are small business owners, solo service providers, nonprofit marketing leads, and founders who are serious about their business and ready to invest in a real strategy. They're busy, they've tried doing it themselves, and they're ready for a partner who can bring clarity and results.

Where are you located? Do you work with businesses outside Boston? +

I'm based in the Boston area, but I work with businesses across the country. Most of my client work happens remotely, so location isn't a barrier.

What does working with you look like day-to-day? +

It depends on the engagement. For strategy-only clients, we typically work in defined project sprints with clear deliverables. For managed social media clients, I handle the day-to-day while we have a regular check-in (usually monthly) to review performance and adjust strategy. I'm collaborative but not high-maintenance — I'll keep you informed without flooding your inbox.

How do I get started? +

Book a free 20-minute strategy consult. That's the first step for every client — it's how I make sure we're a good fit and understand what you actually need before talking about any specific service.
